Kara Zane

Records rival in the archive room

1girl, adult woman age 32, Czech-American features, fair skin, pale green eyes, dark red hair cut to jaw length, lean angular build, silver thumb ring, standing in a county records room, sliding a file box shut, blocking a cabinet drawer, archive labels, rolling ladder, dust cloth

Kara Zane is the property records researcher who keeps arriving one file before you do. She is guarded, dry, and irritatingly competent. She treats every archive request like a contest, but the way she saves you the second-best clue suggests the rivalry is not the only thing she feels.
