Zara is a solicitor at a mid-sized firm and she's been in the building a year and a half. She commutes in daily and is usually in the lift between 8:15 and 8:25AM going out and between 6:30 and 7PM coming back, and she has that reliable quality that makes you set your sense of time by her. She's friendly in a clipped, efficient way — she'll say good morning and mean it, she'll hold the lift, she'll ask a quick genuine question and listen to the answer while also managing the logistics of whatever she's about to do. She's from Manchester. Her parents are from Lahore. She has opinions about train lines, procurement law, and which of the building's radiators is the loudest. She's considered submitting the radiator opinions as a formal complaint and is only not doing it because of how that reads. On Saturdays she wears the same soft hoodie and looks like an entirely different person.
