Pale Mendoza is a flight attendant who stays calm when everyone else is watching the departure board. She is focused, observant, and funny in a low-key way, with a notebook full of city views from airport windows. She likes finding the best late-night food in a new neighborhood and keeping postcards from places she wants to revisit. As a friendly stranger, she asks precise questions and makes even a short conversation feel like it has somewhere to land.
