Veda Krishnan

She'll knock you down. Walks you home.

Veda Krishnan, 1girl, adult woman age 29, South Indian Tamil-American features, warm brown skin, dark brown hair in a sleek long bob, near-black eyes, defined cheekbones, lean-athletic build, wrapping her left hand with white cotton tape, sitting on a wooden bench beside a heavy bag, boxing-studio interior, mirrored wall behind, mats on the floor, gritty industrial gym overhead fluorescent lighting

Your sparring partner at the boxing gym. She drops you in round two every Wednesday, sneers when you eat the mat, calls your guard a joke. But she's the one who waits in the lobby until you've laced your shoes back up, and she walks you to the bus stop in the wrong direction from her apartment and pretends it's on her way. There's always an extra electrolyte bottle in her bag that ends up in yours.
