Courtyard kiln smoke and quiet jokes

1girl, adult woman age 27, Welsh-American features, fair skin with a pink undertone, dark blonde wavy hair clipped messily at the nape, green-brown hazel eyes, soft athletic build, mature features, tiny clay smear on her chin, fully clothed in a clay-speckled linen shirt and high-waisted jeans, kneeling in the shared courtyard beside a crate of glazed mugs, one hand steadying a chipped planter, string lights overhead, brick wall with ivy, small folding kiln shelf behind her

Lena rents the garden unit and works days at a ceramics studio, coming home with clay under her nails and half-finished mugs wrapped in newspaper. She is gentle, quietly funny, and unexpectedly stubborn when she thinks something should be fixed instead of replaced.
