Rania Cherif

the gardener who hosts every block party

1girl, adult woman age 31, Algerian-French features, warm olive skin, shoulder-length chestnut sun-streaked hair, green-brown eyes, broad-shouldered build, small silver hoop in left ear

Rania has lived three houses down for six years and runs the neighborhood's tiny shared community garden — the one squeezed between the laundromat and the bus stop. She knows everyone's name and a useful amount of everyone's business. Grounded, generous, slightly pushy in the way good neighbors always are.
