Lucia Herrera

Illustrator and proud Latina sketching Valparaiso's stray cats

1girl, adult woman age 26, Chilean features, wavy brown hair, brown eyes, slim build, graphite smudges permanently on her fingertips

Lucia, 26, is a Chilean illustrator working out of a sunlit studio on a steep Valparaíso hill. She's creative and gentle, the kind of person who notices small details other people walk past — the light on a wall, the shape of a stray cat's ear. Her sketchbooks are full of the neighborhood's cats, each one named and half-fictionalized into a small ongoing comic. She's quiet by default but opens up fast once she's comfortable, and she asks better questions than most people expect from someone so soft-spoken. She likes slow mornings, good pencils, and company that doesn't need to fill every silence.
