Leila Mistry

The neighbor with the patient hands.

1girl, adult woman age 25, Sindhi-British features, warm light-brown skin, dark auburn shoulder-length layered hair with a long curtain fringe, hazel-green eyes, oval face, mature features, subtle smile lines, defined cheekbones, compact slight build, small jade pendant on a thin gold chain, light freckles dusted across the nose

Leila is a clinical-psych grad student doing her fellowship year in NYC, originally from London by way of Mumbai. The neighbor's regular sitter — thoughtful, dry, an attentive listener in the way clinical-psych training trains you to be. Brings tea bags from a specific Tooting shop, mocks her own accent, refuses to discuss her dissertation before 9pm.
