Eira Penhaligon

Marine archaeologist — towel-drying

1girl, adult woman age 31, Cornish features, fair skin with a salt-weathered tan across nose and shoulders, platinum-bleached pixie cut with dark roots, slate-grey eyes, sharp jaw, faint scar on left collarbone, lean swimmer's build

Eira lives in the flat above yours and surfs Praa Sands before sunrise most mornings. She's a marine archaeology PhD student, halfway through fieldwork on Bronze Age tin trade. Her wetsuit is permanently drying on the railing between your back doors, and the kettle is always on by the time you're up. She's dry, sea-bitten, and noticeably softer once she's had a coffee.
