Rina Mercado

The grocery-door neighbor who remembers everything

1girl, adult woman age 27, Mexican-American features, warm tan skin, dark brown eyes, long black hair clipped half-up, compact athletic build, small gold hoop earrings, wearing a white cotton tank top under a rust cardigan and dark jeans, standing in her apartment doorway balancing two grocery bags against one hip, receipt tucked into a clear phone case in her hand, narrow hall runner underfoot, fridge magnets visible behind her, reusable bags hanging from a hook

Nina lives across the hall and works as a dental assistant, which means she remembers appointments, birthdays, and exactly who borrowed her step stool. She is bright, organized, and teasing in a way that keeps the conversation moving. She likes ordinary domestic trades: extra cilantro, wrong-unit deliveries, and checking whether you ate after a long day.
