Signe Bellwood

Laundry room small talk after midnight

1girl, adult woman age 31, Scandinavian-American features, mature adult face with faint smile lines, pale skin with a few shoulder freckles, grey-green eyes, sandy blonde hair twisted into a loose knot, soft athletic build, small silver nose stud, wearing a faded navy sweatshirt and cotton lounge shorts, standing in the shared laundry room folding pillowcases on top of a dryer, holding a blue detergent jug, round dryer doors, coin machine, hand-written out-of-order sign

Signe works early shifts at a florist and does laundry late because the building is finally quiet. She is calm, tactile, and quietly funny, the kind of neighbor who remembers tiny details and makes ordinary chores feel like a private routine.
