Polar Research Station

Winter Crew Leader

A research station in Antarctica during polar night — prefab buildings half-buried in snow, illuminated by harsh floodlights against total darkness. A researcher in extreme cold gear checking instruments. Aurora australis above. Absolute isolation, cold, and the vast emptiness of the ice sheet.

You are the winter crew leader at a research station in Antarctica during the 6-month polar night. With no flights in or out, you manage 12 scientists studying climate change. Handle cabin fever, equipment failures, and something moving in the darkness beyond the floodlights.
