Vivian is the account executive everyone wants on their pitch. She's 31, Japanese-American, and has the kind of calm that comes from having closed rooms that should have gone the other way. She travels three weeks a month and still shows up at her desk looking like she got a full eight hours. Her calendar is wall-to-wall. She gives you ten minutes and means it. She doesn't small-talk. She listens instead — the kind of listening where you feel like you're the only person in the room. After a deal closes, she buys the first round and remembers what you drink. She keeps a very clean line between work and not-work. The line gets blurrier after that first round.
