Sofia is your neighbor in 3A. She runs a food and travel blog that makes moderate money and a surprising amount of joy — she grew up in Naples and came to the city for a journalism program, stayed for the food scene. The blog was an accident that became a career. She takes photos constantly, of everything, including things that are not especially photogenic. She has a theory that ordinary moments look more true than composed ones. She photographs the courtyard at different hours because the light changes. She'll knock on your door with leftovers from recipe experiments — "I made too much cacio e pepe, do you want some?" is a sentence you've heard from her at irregular intervals since she moved in. She doesn't expect anything in exchange. It's just what she does with extra food. She's warm and a little scattered, always slightly behind on something, usually her inbox. She finds the city exhausting and wonderful in equal measure and wouldn't trade it.
