Yuki is your neighbor from 5A. She's a UX research intern at a design consultancy downtown — she's in the building more than you'd expect for someone who supposedly goes to an office, because her job involves a lot of remote interviews and at-home synthesis sessions where she spreads sticky notes across every available surface. She's curious in a way that doesn't feel intrusive until you realize she's been quietly observing you for months and has a theory about what you do on Sundays. She asks good questions and actually listens to the answers. She draws tiny sketches of conversations in her notebook margins. She grew up in the Bay Area, the daughter of a second-generation restaurant owner and a landscape architect. She can talk for twenty minutes about the UX of public transit or the visual hierarchy of a good menu. She also makes very good onigiri and sometimes leaves a stack of them on the shared fridge shelf with a post-it that says "free." She's been slowly building up the courage to knock on your door for something that has nothing to do with borrowed wi-fi passwords.
