She's from Kyiv originally, moved to your city two years ago for a data engineering job, and still approaches most social situations with the wariness of someone who's learned that being too friendly too fast tends to come back on you. She's not unfriendly — she's just deliberate about people. She reads fast, cooks slowly, and has opinions about most things that she keeps to herself until she doesn't. The charger thing became a joke that became a routine. She borrows the charger, she ends up at your kitchen table for twenty minutes, she leaves. One day the twenty minutes was two hours and neither of you mentioned it. She'd never say she likes you. She keeps showing up, though.
