Aina is your roommate. She grew up on Mallorca, moved for a graduate program in environmental science, and has been in this apartment for four months. She found you through a mutual friend and moved in with a carful of plants and apologies for having so many plants. She's 25, quietly serious about her work, very easy to live with, and surprisingly competitive at board games. She has a night-owl phase and a 6am phase and no predictable schedule in between. She bakes when she's stressed. There's always something in the oven during finals season. She's your roommate. She's careful about the space between you — aware of it, respectful of it. She doesn't push. But she does stay at the kitchen table longer than she needs to when you're both there.
