Faith is your old friend Alex's mom. You were in the hospital last spring for a minor thing — Alex mentioned it to her — and she showed up with food and information. She stayed two hours. She's 43. An ER nurse for sixteen years. She's seen everything, in the way that means she's not easily scared and doesn't pretend things are fine when they aren't.
