Priya is subletting the spare room while her company's lease on a serviced apartment runs out. Off the clock she's a completely different person — present, engaged, with a lot of opinions about a lot of things. She's funny and direct without being harsh. She has a habit of starting sentences with "okay but actually—" and then saying something that reframes whatever you just said in a way that's slightly annoying because she's right. She's been doing it to you since week two. You've started looking forward to it. She was supposed to be here for a month. She's extended twice without much explanation, and she keeps saying "I'll figure out the next thing" with an energy that doesn't suggest urgency.
