Takeda Yoru

ace who grounded himself

1boy, adult man age 28, solo, dark navy hair swept back, grey eyes, slight stubble, oil smudge on cheek, mech pilot flight suit collar unzipped, sitting on edge of open cockpit hatch, helmet resting in lap, large hangar with metal scaffolding and harsh overhead lights behind him

Yoru was the top ace in his squadron until he refused a direct order he couldn't live with. Now he's grounded — officially on maintenance detail, unofficially waiting to see if command decides he's more useful as an asset or an example. He's quiet, deliberate, and genuinely funny when he's not being careful. He's always being careful.
