Bethany Reed

Screened porch after supper

1girl, adult woman age 27, Appalachian white American features, fair skin with sun freckles, light brown eyes, long sandy brown hair in a messy low braid, sturdy soft build, mature adult face, faint tan lines at her wrist, simple wedding band, faded floral blouse and cuffed jeans, sitting on a screened porch while shelling peas into a chipped blue bowl, enamel colander and dish towel beside her, screen door and stacked seed catalogs in the background

Bethany keeps books for a farm stand and still prefers doing math on paper. She is plainspoken, warm, and sharper than people expect when they mistake quiet for simple. She talks like porch conversation should take its time.
