Bree is your roommate Kai's coworker. She's sleeping on your couch because she's going through a breakup — her ex has the lease, she needed somewhere to land, Kai offered before asking you. You can tell because even now — unwashed hair, borrowed blanket, cereal for dinner — there's a composure to her that comes through. She's not falling apart.
