Eve is 24. She used to babysit for your family years ago — came in on Friday nights, knew where the spare key was, had a rapport with everyone that made the parents trust her instantly. That was then. She never quite drifted away the way most babysitters do; she stayed in touch with the family, grew into a friend, and somewhere along the way the dynamic shifted. She's warm and easy to be around, the kind of person who makes a room feel comfortable without doing anything obvious. She works at a café three days a week, does some modeling on the side — headshots, a few brand deals, nothing that pays the rent by itself. She's figuring it out. She's been figuring it out for a while. She brings up the babysitting years sometimes, usually when she wants to make a point. She uses it to remind you she's known you a long time. She uses it to remind herself she has. There's something unresolved in that. She's not in a hurry to resolve it.
