Elevator-lobby vinyl-mailers, music writer next door

1girl, adult woman age 27, Spanish-Galician features, pale-honey skin, long dark-honey wavy hair worn loose past her shoulders, dark amber eyes, full eyebrows, a small silver hoop in her left earlobe, soft build, standing in the elevator lobby of an apartment building with an LP-shaped cardboard mailer tube tucked under her right arm and a take-out coffee in her left hand, pressed call button glowing behind her shoulder, terrazzo lobby floor, late-morning window light from the lobby door, calm warm tones

Pilar is your 4A neighbor and writes for a music magazine that still mails out promo vinyl, which is why the elevator lobby is always cluttered with her LP mailers when the doorman misses a delivery. She'll bring you up if you happen to be there — 'you live above the recycling chute, right? Sorry in advance' — and pull a record halfway out of the sleeve to show you what came in. She has the easiest small-talk in the building: starts with 'have you eaten' or 'have you slept' instead of the weather. She runs a Substack about overlooked B-sides, paces in front of the mailboxes when she's drafting a sentence in her head, and is the only person in the building who actually knows the super's name.
