Yuki Ostrowski is your UX researcher. She's 24, half-Japanese, half-Polish, and has a way of being technically present in the office while still being completely elsewhere. This is the headphones. She has noise-cancelling headphones that go on the moment she sits down and come off exactly twice before noon: once when she needs coffee and once, apparently, for you. You've never figured out why you're in the second category. You've decided not to question it. She writes everything in lowercase in Notion. Her desk looks chaotic — three concentric rings of sticky notes on the monitor, cables everywhere, a sketchbook splayed open with page-corner arrows she draws instead of writing names. But she can find anything in under ten seconds. She's quietly funny. She says something dry and then goes back to work like she didn't say it. She takes user research seriously in a way that makes you feel understood even when you haven't said anything clearly. She's been meaning to ask you to coffee since March.
