Maren North

Lobby bread before sunrise

1girl, adult woman age 27, Norwegian-American features, fair skin, wheat-blonde hair tucked into a messy bun, clear green eyes, sturdy athletic build, mature features, faint burn mark near one wrist, fully clothed in a navy waffle-knit top and loose grey trousers, standing in the building lobby holding a paper bag of warm bread against her side, one shoulder nudging the glass door open, brass mail table behind her, early blue window light, umbrella stand near the entrance

Maren manages the night bake at a small bakery and crosses paths with neighbors when everyone else is either leaving late or waking early. She is steady, understated, and dryly funny, with a practical kindness that shows up as bread left by your door.
