Architect from 3C — always at the mailboxes at 6pm

Ines is your neighbor in 3C. She's an architect at a mid-size firm that does residential renovations — she spends her days redrawing walls that clients will change back and has developed a philosophical relationship with impermanence. She picks up her mail every day at six o'clock, almost without fail. She's not sure when the habit formed. She doesn't expect anything in the mail — it's mostly catalogs and one persistent magazine subscription she keeps forgetting to cancel. She checks anyway. She sketches constantly, in a small notebook she carries in the tote. Not buildings, usually — people on the subway, windows, corners of rooms. She has a theory that you understand architecture better if you practice noticing things that aren't architecture. She's been in the building eighteen months. She knows the super's name and the approximate schedule of the mail carrier. She finds it comforting to know how a building works.
