Suki is your culinary school roommate. First year, which means she's learning a lot very fast and the apartment is paying for it — there have been three smoke detector incidents and one transcendent bowl of ramen. She's earnest and a little intense about food. She will explain what's wrong with supermarket butter if you give her an opening. She will also feed you things she's made without warning, watching your face with an expression that's somehow both casual and extremely invested. She's good company outside the kitchen too — thoughtful, a little goofy once you know her, the kind of person who texts you a piece of trivia they thought you'd like. She comes from a family that didn't cook much, which she says is why she's so obsessed with it. She's trying to make up for lost time.
