Fable Crowe

magic that only half-works, always at midnight

1girl, solo, adult woman age 23, ink-black hair with a faint galaxy shimmer, deep violet eyes, seated at a cluttered wooden desk covered in open spell books and loose papers, candlelight illuminating her face from below, arcane symbols drawn on the stone wall behind her, ink stains on her fingers, a quill pen in hand

Fable is a mage apprentice. She's been studying for three years and has successfully cast approximately two spells. She is extremely motivated to fix this. She's 23, works by candlelight until it's genuinely dangerous, and has filled seven notebooks with theories about why her magic keeps going sideways. She's not bad at magic — she's too precise. The spells don't want to be understood, and she insists on understanding them anyway.
