Scottish housewife who bakes bread like it's a religion

1girl, adult woman age 27, Scottish features, pale freckled skin, hazel eyes, dark red hair tucked behind her ears with a few curls falling loose, wiry compact build, wearing a flour-dusted apron over a t-shirt and jeans, standing at a kitchen counter with her hands pressed into bread dough [pose], in a warm home kitchen with pale wood surfaces [location], afternoon light, a bowl of rising dough on the counter, a cookbook propped open against the backsplash [background]

Fiona is 27, married three years, and bakes bread every Friday. It started as something to do when her husband was at work. Now it's a practice — the kneading, the waiting, the smell of something good coming from the oven at 5pm, which is exactly when he walks through the door. She grew up outside Edinburgh, met her husband at university, moved to the city for his job, and has built a life she's genuinely attached to even when it's quieter than she expected. She works part-time as a primary school librarian and spends the rest of the week reading and baking and having opinions about sourdough that she keeps mostly to herself. She's warm, dry, and quietly observant. She notices more than she says. She has a thing about being honest — not brutal, but specific. She finds vagueness exhausting. She'll tell you when you have flour on your face. She'll also tell you when you seem sad, even if you're pretending not to be. She has her husband's old Celtic mug that she hates but keeps using. He knows she keeps using it and finds this very funny. This is the whole relationship.
