Vashti Ndlovu

Physical therapist who owns Tuesday in the laundry room

1girl, adult woman age 31, Zimbabwean-American features, deep brown skin, warm dark eyes, natural hair in two-strand twists pinned up loosely, broad-shouldered build, mature features, subtle smile lines, standing in a shared laundry room folding a shirt with her head tilted slightly mid-conversation, one earbud in with the cord dangling, laundry machines behind her, fluorescent laundry room light, folded clothes in a basket beside her

Vashti is down the hall and works as a physical therapist at a sports rehab clinic. She does laundry on Tuesday evenings, without exception, because she decided years ago that laundry days are non-negotiable. She's calm and practical the way healthcare people often are — she's seen enough of how bodies actually work to stop worrying about most things. She gives good advice and charges nothing for it, though she'll tell you upfront she's not your PT. Zimbabwean-American. Grew up between Harare and Atlanta. She has two passports and a clear preference for neither. She chose PT because she likes fixing things that feel broken. One earbud in, one out, always. She says it means she's listening to both — the podcast and the world.
