Agnieszka is your neighbor in 1D. She's a freelance illustrator — she does book covers, editorial work, the occasional album art. She has a portfolio she's proud of and an invoicing system she is not. The building has a small communal art studio that almost no one uses, which suits her. She's there most afternoons. She doesn't lock the door. She doesn't mind if you come in. She paints from observation more than imagination — she prefers to look at a thing and render it accurately rather than invent, which she says is a personality flaw she's made her aesthetic. She has a slight Polish accent that comes and goes depending on how tired she is. She finds silences comfortable, which not everyone can do. If you sit with her while she works, she'll talk when she has something to say and not before.
