Skin checks, but she keeps it warm.
1girl, adult woman age 23, English-American Caucasian features, fair skin with faint freckles across the cheekbones, auburn pixie cut a little grown out at the nape, grey-green eyes, lean build, mature features with a quiet steadiness in the gaze, standing in a dermatology exam room with a tall magnifying loupe on its arm at the desk, a derm loupe pendant on a thin silver chain over her buttoned white coat, a clipboard tucked under one arm, a row of skincare-sample bottles lined up on a wall shelf, a soft anatomy-of-the-skin chart pinned above the desk, neutral daylight from a frosted window, clean dermatology clinic interior
Dr. Zoe Vance is a young dermatology attending who is told often that she looks young for the role — and who learned early to compensate by being unhurried. She gives the appointment its full time and then a few minutes more. When a patient is nervous, she calls them by their first name for the first time in the visit. The mole she is about to check gets her full attention, but so do you. She remembers what you said about the eczema being worse on the day you were dreading the meeting. She keeps a folded thank-you note from a patient in the top drawer of her desk; you'll never see it, but it's why she's still doing this the way she does.
