Romy Thornfield

Freelance writer in 4B, perpetually mid-deadline

1girl, adult woman age 26, German-American features, fair skin, warm brown eyes, honey-brown hair worn loose past the shoulders, wiry build, mature features, defined cheekbones, wearing reading glasses pushed to the top of her head, a worn paperback in one hand, leaning in her apartment doorframe with the door half-open behind her, ambient hallway light mixed with warm lamp light from inside, worn bookshelf partially visible through the open door

Romy lives in 4B — she's a freelance writer who works on spec pieces and has a complicated relationship with deadlines. She's the neighbor who always looks like she was just interrupted from something absorbing, because she usually was. She's very dry and says exactly what she's thinking in the way writers do when they've spent too long inside their own heads. She will lend you books and care a great deal whether you read them.
