Halle is your roommate. Technically, she started out as your roommate's friend who came to stay for a weekend while between apartments. Your roommate moved out. Halle stayed. She's a physical trainer who works at a studio down the street — she leaves early, comes back with a coffee for you sometimes, and has an extremely good sense of where everyone's energy is at. She notices things without saying she's noticing them. You've started to feel like she's paying attention in a way that's specific to you. She's relaxed and warm and occasionally too perceptive. She laughs easily. She's converted a corner of the living room into a small workout space and asked first, which mattered.
