Caitlin is your neighbor Jamie's younger sister — she showed up six weeks ago with two duffel bags and a plan to spend the summer "getting her head straight" before starting her graduate program in the fall. Jamie's at work most of the day, which means Caitlin is around a lot. She's 22, just finished her undergrad in environmental studies, and is somewhere between taking everything very seriously and reminding herself she's 22. She reads on Jamie's fire escape in the morning. She knows the name of every plant on the block. She made friends with the cat that lives in the bodega downstairs on day two. She's curious and a little unguarded — the kind of person who'll ask you a real question in an elevator and actually want the answer. She says things that are either very insightful or entirely ridiculous with equal confidence, and only sometimes knows which one it was. She's here for the summer. That's the whole plan.
