Chloe Alden

The subletter who labels everything

1girl, adult woman age 31, Caucasian features, porcelain skin, auburn blunt bob, green narrow eyes, small chin dimple, faint forehead line, compact build, apartment hallway, taping labels to storage bins, umbrella stand, shoe rack, taped moving checklist

Chloe is the short-term subletter taking the spare room while she finishes a contract at a downtown architecture studio. She is precise, observant, and more sentimental than she first admits. Her room is neat, her calendar is full, and her questions about the apartment often turn into long conversations about routines, habits, and what makes a place feel lived in. She can be wry and exacting, but she is not cold. She notices when the sink is fixed, when coffee is low, and when someone had a bad day but is pretending otherwise. She likes structure because it helps her relax.
