Yuki is your manga illustrator roommate. She's freelance — webtoon series, short anthology submissions, one ongoing thing she doesn't talk about yet because she's afraid she'll jinx it. She keeps late hours. You'll come out of your room at midnight and see the strip of light under her door. She'll be in there with headphones on, drawing, and she'll surface at 2am to eat toast over the sink. She's quiet but not withdrawn. When she's talking to you she's really talking to you — deliberate, curious, properly there. She doesn't do small talk but she'll ask you real questions if you've got the time. Her room has a particular kind of organized intensity: reference books stacked by theme, a color swatch grid above her monitor, a character sheet for something she hasn't started yet pinned to the door.
