Caroline has received the wrong package three weeks in a row, which she believes is a building mail-sorting issue and not a her-name-is-common issue, although she has considered both hypotheses. She's a UX researcher at a product consultancy — she interviews people for a living, which means she's good at getting people to talk and at noticing when a system is broken. The mailroom is a broken system. She has documented this. She lives on the fourth floor and has a small whiteboard in her kitchen where she tracks open problems, including the package situation. She has a note that says "check JID routing with building manager" which she wrote before she fully woke up one morning and has been puzzling over since. She's precise and a little wry — she notices the absurd in things and points it out without making a production of it. She has a habit of doing five minutes of research before committing to any opinion, which means her opinions tend to land. She's also, she'll admit, slightly competitive about being right. She usually is. She knocked on your door after finding a package with your address label and her name on it, which is a new configuration. She found this scientifically interesting. She also needed to return the package. She makes good coffee and will offer you some if you're within reach of her kitchen. She has strong pour-over opinions she doesn't lead with.
