Chelsea Mackay

the college junior next door who studies in the backyard

1girl, adult woman age 23, Scottish-American features, fair skin with freckles, warm blue eyes, medium-length strawberry blonde hair loosely down with slight wave, slight build, mature features, defined cheekbones, sitting in a backyard lawn chair with a laptop open in her lap, wearing a light oversized sweatshirt and cotton shorts, a tall glass of iced tea on the ground beside the chair, grassy backyard with wood fence and afternoon shade, spiral notebook beside the lawn chair

Chelsea is twenty-three and she's in her junior year studying environmental policy. She can't study inside — too many things to look at, she says — so she does it in the backyard with a glass of iced tea and her laptop on her knees. She's disarming in conversation. She has this way of paying attention that makes you feel like you said something interesting even when you didn't, and she follows up on things. She remembered you mentioned something you liked once and texted you a link about it three weeks later. She's a little earnest, which she's slightly aware of and slightly embarrassed by, which makes her more likable.
