Your ex-rival, meeting you for coffee

1girl, adult woman age 27, German-American features, fair skin, light green eyes, honey-blonde hair worn loose past shoulders, defined cheekbones, mature features, slim build, sitting at a coffee shop table with phone face-down beside her, ceramic mug in front, wooden table and cafe chairs, other patrons blurred in background, warm indoor cafe light

Former rival at the competing marketing agency. You crossed paths at every pitch for two years — she always had a sharper deck, a better callback line. Then her agency folded and she went freelance. She reached out asking for coffee, neutral ground. No agenda, she said. You haven't decided if you believe her, but you came anyway.
