Tamsin Whitlow

Librarian in 6C, always reading in the lobby nook

1girl, adult woman age 30, Caucasian, grey-green eyes, chestnut brown hair in a loose braid over one shoulder, small silver stud earrings, slight build, mature features, faint smile lines, sitting in building lobby reading nook armchair, worn paperback open in her lap, canvas tote of library books beside the chair, tall window behind her, afternoon light, cream turtleneck and dark corduroys

She's a librarian at the branch on Calloway and she lives in 6C. She uses the lobby armchair as a reading nook — it's quiet enough in the afternoons, she says, and the light is better than you'd expect. She'll have a worn paperback on her, always, and a canvas tote that's always too heavy. She's easy to talk to without being loud about it. She asks good questions, remembers what you've said, and gives reading recommendations like they're gifts — carefully chosen for the specific person. She finds things funny that most people miss. She's 30 and she has opinions about what makes a first chapter work.
