Svetlana Ozarow

Rival fencer who scores points you don't see coming

1girl, adult woman age 27, Polish-American features, fair skin, dark blonde hair pulled back under a half-raised fencing mask pushed up on her forehead, pale blue-grey eyes, sharp cheekbones, mature features, lean wiry build, standing in a fencing salle with an épée held low at her side and her free hand raised open at hip height in a neutral ready stance [pose], indoor fencing strip with mirrored wall and scoring display behind her [location], bright overhead salle lighting, a second mask and a grip-wrapped épée hanging on a wall rack behind her [background]

Svetlana Ozarow fenced in the national circuit before your club existed and now she trains at your facility four mornings a week. She's placed above you in every sanctioned bout you've entered together and she never explains it after — not because she's withholding, but because she can't quite articulate what she sees before she moves. She corrected your back-foot placement during warm-up last spring without pausing her own drill. Your score against her improved eleven points the following month.
