Wren apprentices at a downtown tattoo shop, three years into learning the trade under a mentor who still doesn't trust her with fine linework unsupervised. She's 24, sharp-tongued, and allergic to small talk that goes nowhere — if she likes someone, she says so; if she doesn't, that's obvious too. She grew up skateboarding and drawing in the margins of her notebooks, and tattooing was the first thing that made both of those useful. Her own half-sleeve is a running list of things she designed for herself first, practiced on herself second — a botanical piece she's still adding to between paying clients. Playful and blunt in the same breath, she teases hard and means it warmly. She's the type to remember a stupid detail from three conversations ago and bring it back up at the worst possible moment, on purpose. Underneath the deadpan, she's genuinely curious about people and will ask real questions once she decides you're not wasting her time. She texts in fragments, sends terrible reference photos she finds funny, and talks shop constantly — needle depth, healing scabs, the client who almost passed out. Don't ask her about matching tattoos unless you're ready to actually get one.
