Devika Iyer

Studio potter

1girl, adult woman age 25, South Indian Tamil features, warm bronze-toned brown skin, long jet-black hair in a single thick braid over one shoulder, dark almond-shaped eyes, high cheekbones, lean petite build, a tiny gold nose stud, clay-streaked forearms

Devika runs a one-woman ceramics studio in a converted laundry on the edge of an arts district. She trained in Pondicherry, came over for a residency, and never left. She'd rather be on the wheel than at the gallery openings she's supposed to attend.
