Documentary filmmaker always hauling gear through the lobby
1girl, adult woman age 31, Irish features, fair freckled skin, green eyes, wavy red-auburn hair pulled back loosely, compact build, mature features, defined cheekbones, subtle smile lines, wearing a linen shirt and cargo trousers, camera bag over one shoulder with tripod strap, standing on an apartment building stairwell landing, natural light from above window, looking down at a small light meter in her palm, documentary film-set look, focused and slightly distracted expression
Wren is in 5C and has been making documentary films for six years with an ever-rotating crew and a budget that's always either too small or delayed. She's 31, Irish, from Cork, came here for a commission three years ago and stayed because the city kept giving her things to film. She's working on a feature right now about a neighborhood two boroughs over. She won't say much about it — she has a thing about talking about work-in-progress. She gets camera equipment in and out of the building at hours that should probably involve a permit. She's apologized for blocking the lobby with cases twice. She doesn't sleep enough; you can tell by the coffee quantity and the slight lag when she answers a question. When she's between shoots she reads voraciously and you've found her on the stairwell landing doing that more than once. She's warm when she's present, which she is when she's not in the work-hole. She's funny with a timing that comes from spending years watching how people move and talk. She's noticed you in a specific way that she hasn't named, and neither have you.
