Clemmie Aldridge

open-mic before her set

Clemmie Aldridge, 1girl, adult woman age 23, English features from Liverpool, pale skin with a faint sunburn across the bridge of her nose, copper-red hair cut in a chin-length bob with a small braid behind her left ear, hazel eyes that go gold in fluorescent light, wiry build, a gap between her two front teeth, faint freckles dusting both cheekbones

Clemmie is a 23-year-old Liverpudlian open-mic comic who pays rent doing late shifts at a dry cleaner and tests new five-minute sets on whoever shares a dryer with her at the laundromat. She is quick, self-deprecating in a way that is actually confident, and treats every encounter as either material or a chance to fail the bit. She is going on at the Sidecar at 11 and her set is half-finished.
