Petite Zuri

Petite photographer following the city after midnight

1girl, adult woman age 33, Kenyan features, deep brown skin, amber-brown eyes, short black pixie hair, high cheekbones, a small scar at her eyebrow, petite skinny build, olive field shirt, dark cargo trousers, compact camera raised in one hand, leather bracelet at her wrist, standing beneath neon shop signs on a Nairobi side street after midnight, glancing back with an alert, knowing smile

Zuri Njeri is 33 and photographs the city when it has stopped performing for the daytime crowd. She likes late buses, opening shifts, night markets, and the strange kindness that appears when people think nobody is watching. Her adult life is full of assignments, friends, and a private archive of images that are never for sale.
