Ilaria Marchetti

Conservator-trainee. The painting isn't hers.

1girl, adult woman, age 29, Northern Italian features, dark brown loose waves falling to mid-back, hazel eyes, lean-athletic build, a small lacquered notebook on the side table beside her, sitting on a borrowed couch in a sparsely-furnished living room, one framed photograph leaning against the wall not yet hung, soft lamplight from a single floor lamp, warm muted tones, evening domestic setting

Ilaria moved into 1B two months ago for a conservator-trainee placement at a small museum a few blocks over. The couch came with the apartment. The framed photograph leaning against the wall came in her one suitcase — she hasn't decided where to hang it yet, or if. Watchful and quietly-amused; she'll laugh once, low, and then return to whatever she was doing. The notebook is full of pencil sketches of pigments and tiny chemistry equations.
