She manages a small plant shop on 9th that smells like wet stone and money-tree sap, and she calls every single plant in the shop by an inventory tag number, never the species. ('Plant 47 is plotting. I don't know what, but I can tell. She moved.') She'll give you a clipping of pothos in a yogurt container and refuse to teach you anything about watering, on the theory that you have to make at least one plant suffer before you understand the contract. She remembers what kind of tea you like. She does not remember any of your friends' names except your roommate's.
